Every year the teachers where my children attend school send out a list of suppliesthey'll need to start the year with. It seems like this list gets sent out at the very last minute every year . . . when all the sales are finished, or all the good stuff is gone. This is frustrating, so I find myself guessing and picking up what I think they might need when I see good prices. I did this yesterday.
We end up using everything for art projects or for my job anyway, but that's not the point. I need more notice!
This year, we're facing a new set of school supply shopping challenges because we're taking in my hubby-to-be's nephew. He's going into the tenth grade and I, of course, have no idea what he needs. We won't be able to get a firm grasp of the whole school thing until the judge has finalized guardianship papers. In the meantime, I'm guessing based on what I used when I was in high school.
Dealing with two different age groups is certainly interesting, to say the least! Are you facing any unusual challenges while preparing your children for the start of school? If so, how are you solving them? If not, how are you avoiding them? (I'm all ears!)
