Open House Tonight!
September 18th 2008 12:06
We have open house at our three youngest children’s school tonight. I love meeting with the teachers, seeing their desk, looking at the various things in the classrooms, and seeing them interact with friends. It’s always such a positive time.
This year will be a little bit different, though, because our nephew is with us now. He has a huge load of homework to catch up on because he was absent from school another day this week. It’s frustrating, but not impossible. He’ll be working on these assignments with either his grandmother or is mother while we’re gone.
Even thought we’re still in the beginning of the year, the kids have adapted so well to the new routines that it feels as though no transitions had to be made at all. That spells success to me. There are a lot of new routines in place, and I feel so proud of them all for going with the flow so well.
What kind of new routines do you have in place at the start of the new school year? Do you attend the open house your children’s school puts on?
