Going Through Clothes, Going Crazy
September 1st 2008 15:34
It’s that time of year again. Time to return to school, time to buy school clothes, and time to purge all the clothes that ….
1. will be good enough to play in
2. that don’t fit anymore
3. that will be handed down for next year
I need some big bags. I had no idea the kids would grow so much this year in comparison to previous years. Typically, I have a lot that can be handed down . . . this year, though, there’s a lot that is in the “doesn’t fit anymore” piles. I’m amazed.
Good Will is going to be happy to see me coming this year!
I hear a lot of people say, “why don’t you have a yard sale and sell these clothes?” I would, but so many people help us throughout the year with this, that, or the other thing that passing these clothes on to charities just makes sense in this household.
So, here I am, making room for this, trying to find a giant bag for that, and putting away all the rest. I’m already feeling a huge sense of accomplishment!
