Be in the moment....

So, its been awhile. I know. But here I am.
So I made it through the holidays just fine. Thanksgiving was a little crazy and so was my MIL, but we are all alive and well. Christmas this year was a little more scaled down because we are on one income. But, the beauty of having a child is making wonderful gifts related to them and giving them to the grandparents. I made ornaments this year for them and they loved them. Good, because it was either that or nothing. I also made fudge and cookies. This year I felt in the mood to bake, unlike the year before when I was ready to pop.
Oh and my baby boy's first birthday party was a success. I was a little nervous when he tried some cake, but he survived and so did I. He was really cute with it too.
So, here we are in another year. 2011. Wow. Now its already February....even bigger wow! This year I plan on enjoying everyday I have with my family and appreciating all the moments I get to share with my son during the day. As I look back on his baby pictures, I can already see him developing into a little boy. Even though I can't slow down time, I can stop and stare at him and be in the moment.
